The first leaves growing back after the devastating Merapi eruption in Jawa, Indonesia, 2010 October.
This is just incredible! So sad and yet hopeful.
So glad you commented on my blog so I could find you – LOVE your stuff (I’m assuming you took these?)!
im very flattered by your compliment, thank you, i did take all of the pics on this site.
and great thanks to making me discover a new impressive artist.
I’m always willing you share excellent talent!
This is a lovely artistic photo!
aloha Berit. I like the way you’ve brought the fern out in this image with a dose of strong color while pushing the rest of the image back into an almost black and white metaphor of death.
volcanic power is one of the most devastating powers I’ve ever seen – including earthquake and hurricane. (…maybe other than human beings can make..) … yet the tenacity of life comes up even in the middle of the most all out destruction. yay on life – which you seem to go after in many of your images. cool on that aloha
thank you kindly. i tried several options, but giving the only colour to the leaves definitely brought out the atmosphere the best.
